Yesterday, my Uncle Russ and Aunt Judy lost their son in a terrible accident. This is dedicated to them.
Healing Comes In My Father’s Arms
Your presence filled us, completed us, made our family whole.
Your smile a light, your eyes a window to your soul.
And though life brought challenges, love never failed.
Then the cherished is torn from our lives,
It leaves a hole, one never to be filled.
Now grief engulfs, flooding every part of our being.
Wandering lost on a path not meant to be traveled.
How will our heart yet sing?
When will this sorrow leave?
Then I hear my Father’s voice
“And though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil for thou art with me”.
And the heart whispers,
For healing comes through a journey of tears,
Through being held in our Father’s arms.
In loving memory of Donald Willis.

Oh Charlotte your words and contact meant so much to aunt Judy. Thank you for sharing your yet tender heart with another mother lost in the ocean of grief.
